Jim Clarke 1967 #5 – SOLD
This is the very first Lotus 49 produced by Aspect models and it is believed that only 8 were ever produced. A fabulous 1:8 scale model replicating the iconic Lotus F1 car from the 1960's in exacting detail. Arugably the most iconic F1 car of the 1960's.
The Lotus 49 was the brainchild of Colin Chapman and was revolutionary in the 1967 season which saw Jim Clarke win 4 races and take 6 pole positions, in the year before his fatal crash.
This is an exact copy in every detail of that car. It was built in the UK. The model has a removable front clam cover and sits on a its original stylish wooden plinth with a silver base and covered by a perspex case. The model measures approximately 50cm and the case 62cm.
