Do I have to pay import duty?
If you are outside the UK you DO NOT PAY UK VAT and prices are shown without tax. You may have import duty to pay to the courier before the model is delivered. If you are VAT registered in your country you may be able to reclaim this.
EU countries do not pay UK VAT, prices are shown without tax. The import tax is similar to your countries VAT and in line with other non EU countries. Please check before ordering or ask about delivery duty paid (DDP). 
US customers - new tariffs may be applicable please contact me if you need help with US tariffs (use HTS code 95030000 to calculate)

How much does shipping cost?
Please enter your address at the checkout to get a price to your location. Cost example - one 1:18 scale model - UK £5, EU 25Euros, US $50 all models are insured and carefully packaged.

Can I collect my model?
Models can be collected from me East of York YO43.
Framed art is collection only

What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major credit and debit cards, Paypal, Bank transfer, cash on collection and by card over the phone. Also Klarna credit is an option for you. Payment plans over 4 months are available for Amalgam 1:8 scale models.

What size are the models?
1:8 scale approx 60 cms
1:18 scale approx 20 cms
1:12 scale approx 30-40 cms

What is the difference between diecast and resin models?
Diecast models are cast metal and usually have opening panels, 1:18 sale models such as CMC and some BBR models. Resin models tend to be 'kirbside' models with no opening panels. Amalgam's 1:8 scale models are resin and most have opening panels and full engine and cockpit detail.

Who do you use for shipping ?
International shipping will be with either UPS or DHL fully insured. 1:8 scale models from Amalgam will be shipped in a crate and require a specific quote. Please email me with your address so I can give you an accurate price.

Can I pre order a model not yet released?
Yes with a £100 deposit, please contact me. Release dates are an estimate from the supplier and no responsibility can be taken for manufacturer delays getting your model.

What is a 'Kerbside' model?
This is a model with no opening panels, such as doors and bonnet, there will be no engine detail. BBR, Amalgam 1:18 models are normally kerbside unless stated and shown in photos. CMC models are full detail, including engine.

Do you charge VAT?
UK customers pay UK VAT. Outside the UK import duty may be payable.

Can I buy a display case for my model?
Yes. Some models come with a display case and will say in the description and photos. If the model does not come with a display case, I have 1:18 and 1:12 display cases on my website. I can also supply 1:8 scale, please contact me for a quote.

When will my item be sent?
If the model is in stock it will usually be shipped within two working days. Pre order models - you will be notified of a timescale and emailed when the model is ready to ship.

Can I come and see the model before I buy?
Yes if you want to come and see any of my in stock models you can, I'm based East of York. UK.

Do you buy model cars from private collectors?
Yes, depending on the model. I usually only buy high end models such as Amalgam, Patrice de Conto. 1:8 scale, CMC/Exoto in 1:18 scale and must be in perfect condition with all original items, certificates and proof of original purchase. Please use the contact page or email me with the model(s) you are wanting to sell, ideally with photos. I will usually make a prompt decision and collect if within reasonable driving distance in the UK.
