This a very fine model of the legendary Ecurie Ecosse #3 Jaguar D Type that won the 1957 Le Mans. Entered by the Scottish racing team and driven by Ron Flockhart and Ivor Bueb. The Jaguar D Type took 5 of the first 6 Places at Le Mans that year, making it one of the most dominant cars in Le Mans history.
This model is an exact replica of that winning D Type. With fully opening bonnet, door, boot, fuel filler cover. Fully detailed engine and interior and painted in the original Eccurie Ecosse blue. The attention to detail is incredible and is an exact scale copy of the original car registration 376 SG. With festidious research and scanning of the original car done by Amalgam in full co-operation and scrutiny with Jaguar cars. The model sits on the Amalgam leather covered display plinth with plaques detailing the car and limited edition number 18/99 and comes with the original perspex cover.
