Amalgam 1:8 scale 1963 Jaguar E Type 'Lightweight' Special #15 Le Mans Briggs Cunningham, race weathered model.

This is a stunning model of the 1963 entry to the Le Mans 24 hour race by the Americam Briggs Cunningham with his co driver Bob Grossman, with the cars overseen by Lofty England. The finished 9th overall. A great achievement after a morning crash cost them two hours, having to take parts from the Sister retired E Type.

Only three models were ever made and this one specially commissioned for Jaguar Cars. This model has only ever been on display at Jaguar Classics and is now available for sale.

With fully opening bonnet, door, boot, fuel filler cover. Fully detailed engine, boot and interior, with seatbelt harnesses. The attention to detail is incredible and is an exact scale copy of the original. With festidious research and scanning of the original car done by Amalgam in full co-operation and scrutiny from Jaguar cars. The model sits on the Amalgam, leather covered display plinth with plaques detailing the car and comes with the original perspex cover. Only 3 of this model were originall made, all for Jaguar Cars and not available for the public to buy. This particular model has a lightly weathered finish to look as it would have after the race.
This is a truly stunning model, measuring approx. 55cms in length and 70cms including the case. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece. The finest model of this car available anywhere in the world.
