This is the CMC 1:18 scale model of the Mercedes W196 'Type Monza' Streamliner as raced in the 1955 Grand Prix season. It was designed with its closed wheels to win on the faster circuits including Silverstone, Monza and Reims. A limited edition #16 car, as raced by Stirling Moss at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Moss retired from the race with engine trouble after qualifying second to Fangio.

A pre owned, one owner model is as new condition with all original packaging, leaflet, tool, cloth and outer box (slight shelf wear to outer box). Comes with a certificate of authenticity and photo of the signing. The model shown is the actual model you will receive. Please not there isn't a side access panel with this model as Stirling Moss preferred it left off to more quickly gain access to refill fluids etc.
